Product Updates Q3/2018

Looking for what’s new at Remitano? For each quarter we will provide you Product Updates which contains our core activities so that you can follow up, see what happens and recognize the development as well as our team’s effort in bringing you the best product. As the second quarter of 2018 marked a market slowdown after an excessive growth, we have significantly enhanced the quality by introducing swap feature to increase market liquidity.

1. Launch of BTC/USDT swap trading

From 06/08, after beta launch, we have officially run a centralized exchange with pair BTC/USDT for all our verified users. Within days of the launch, the total traded volume reached more than 300 BTC per day. There is a high potential for the swap trading volume to increase in the near future. After the successful launch of BTC/USDT pair, we launched ETH/USDT and BCH/USDT. We have planned to add more swap pairs on our platform and increase the availability over the next several months so that can continue to serve our customers better.

2. Unified EU market

As the largest peer-to-peer trading and exchange platform, Remitano is receiving growing numbers of European users. Since the EU acts as a single market (sometimes also called the internal market), its people, goods, services, and money move around the EU as freely as within a single country.

European businesses selling in the EU have unrestricted access to nearly 500 million consumers, helping them to stay competitive. The single market is also attractive to foreign investors and traders, allowing EU countries to continue trading with one another.

Due to this, all EU users will be routed to /eu on Remitano’s platform. The currency displayed that will be used will be EURO. This will apply to all European countries (See full list Euro countries and their country codes).

3. Deposit and withdrawal fee updates

The blockchain fee, also called ‘miners’ fee is a bitcoin transaction fee that is charged to users when performing bitcoin transactions. The fee is collected to reward miners for maintaining the Bitcoin network. Our intention is to not make any profits on withdraws.  However, each coin has a network transfer fee that is built into the coin. This means that we must charge a small amount to cover this fee. And to be fair, we shared and charged following fees for deposits and withdrawals:

  • BTC: 0.0002 BTC
  • BCH: 0.0001 BCH
  • ETH: 0.005 ETH
  • USDT: 5 USDT

4. How to sell a portion of your Bitcoin/Ethereum

In order to adapt user experience in user’s advertisement, we added more features for more convenience in selling/buying cryptos:

  • To sell a portion of Bitcoin/Ethereum from your Remitano wallet, you can create an ad and specify “total BTC/ETH number” that you would like to sell.
